Foster families for Aids orphans are found to ensure that the orphans grow up in a family. The children and their parents get support and Kolping helps with words and deed. The children attend school and also the parents get support for the promotion of their professional skills so that the family gets by.  |

| In Conselheiro Mairinck / Paraná in a social centre Kolping looks after 40 children from disadvantaged families, they fetch them away from the street and protect them against drug abuse and prostitution. There the youth also get vocational training and thus have better prospects for their future. |

| The Kolping House in Santiago de Chile offers a home away from home to young university students. Students and tourists from all five continents and from all social strata stay with the modern hostel. This centre of encounter is financed by donations from the International Adolph Kolping Foundation. |
