East Africa donates for Ukraine

On the World Day of Prayer Kolping members in Rwanda and Burundi collected for KOLPING INTERNATIONAL’s emergency aid for the Ukraine.

Dancille Mujawamariya provided a special moment for the International Executive Board of KOLPING INTERNATIONAL, which met in Cologne in early November. The Managing Director of KOLPING Rwanda handed over donations from Rwanda and Burundi to General Praeses Msgr. Christoph Huber. The two East African Kolping Associations had collected donations for the Kolping Sisters and Brothers in Ukraine in the framework of their World Day of Prayer pilgrimages. In doing so, they want to express their deep solidarity with the people suffering from the war in Ukraine. The members in Rwanda and Burundi, who do not own much themselves and are struggling with the rising prices due to the war in Ukraine, donated overwhelmingly: A total of over 2,500 euros was collected from both countries for KOLPING INTERNATIONAL’s Ukraine emergency aid.

We thank the Kolping Sisters and Kolping Brothers in Rwanda and Burundi wholeheartedly for this strong sign of solidarity, which will certainly give courage and hope to our Kolping Sisters and Brothers in Ukraine beyond concrete assistance
