In his Christmas address, Msgr. Christoph Huber, General Praeses of KOLPING INTERNATIONAL, wishes everyone a Merry and Blessed Christmas 2023.
Dear Kolping sisters and Kolping brothers,
Glory to God in the highest heavens and peace to his people on earth. This is what the angels proclaim above the mangers that are set up in our homes. This is what the angels proclaim in the Gospel. I believe that there is no desire as strong today as the desire for peace. I have heard it again and again from many Kolping sisters and brothers: the situation in Ukraine, the situation in Myanmar and in many other countries around the world is unpeaceful. People want peace and we as Kolping sisters and brothers contribute to peace by putting our commitment first. Commitment in the spirit of the Gospel, in the spirit of Jesus, in the spirit of Adolph Kolping. That we, through our faith, do not abandon those in need. This is how we contribute to peace with our possibilities, this is how we glorify God. With this in mind, I wish you all a Merry and Blessed Christmas, I wish us all the peace that our God should give us. Let us ask Him to continue to guide us. I wish you a Merry and Blessed Christmas from the Minorite Church, from the church with the tomb of Adolph Kolping.
